All Westgold Operations | 8/6 Roster | Permanent Full‑Time Westgold is seeking a proactive
Mine Surveyor to support safe, accurate and efficient mining operations across our sites. Working within Technical Services, you will play a critical role in mine development control, survey accuracy and operational compliance across surface and underground environments.
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will ensure precise measurement, mapping and modelling to support production, safety and statutory requirements, while contributing to continuous improvement in survey systems and practices.
This is a site‑based role on an
8/6 roster, supporting multiple Westgold operations as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain survey control networks to statutory and company standards
- Deliver accurate surface and underground surveys, mine models and reports
- Control development to design and monitor implementation in the field
- Maintain survey databases, records, plans and end‑of‑month reporting
- Support drone survey activities and improved data capture methods
- Ensure full compliance with WHS, mining regulations and company procedures
- Work closely with mining, geology and operations teams to support production
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying
- Minimum 18 months experience as a Graduate Mine Surveyor or equivalent
- Exposure to underground and/or open pit mining
- Strong planning, problem‑solving and attention to detail
- Competent using survey instruments and mining software
- Ability to work autonomously in a site‑based operational environment
- Current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence
Desirable: - Drone/UAV experience and/or Remote Pilot Licence
- Experience with Leica, Trimble or Geosight CMS
- Working toward or holding Authorised Mine Surveyor certification
